BBC/Ice Cream, too expensive?
Today's featured commentary: BBC/Icecream, too expensive or should we cut back on eating?
I quote "Wealth is from the heart and mind, not the pocket. Wow, beautiful, that's great, super slogan. So now...could someone explain to me how in the fuck I am suppose to buy a 400$ hoody with heart and mind?" - Myself. Now why can't Pharrell Williams just hip hop his way back to normal land where we can buy clothing items under a G. Well, that is what we asked him... oh wait, no we didn't.
The Bathing Ape/BBC way of thinking is the following: Why sell thousands of hoodies for 100 bucks when you can be pretentious? Guess what, pretentious works and sells well. By making very limited quantities of a variety of clothing items, Bape keeps it's wealthy buyers in demand as well as staying popular because you couldn't possibly see enough to get weary of it considering the lack of offer. It actually is a good launch strategy for an empire building concept. I'll give you that much you silly Asian ( if you're reading this Nigo, what's up ).
We at nigobape.com have been asked by many people ( 1 or 2 ) if it is possible to buy authentic Bapes right off the manufacturer in Japan. The answer is the following: No, you can not. The nowhere co,ltd. company does not sell anything online directly or at the factory for a matter of fact. The only possible way to obtain a genuine bape (bapesta, baby milo etc ) and paying cheaper for it, would be by knowing someone that works there.
Now, if you are interested in buying authentic BBC or authentic Ice Cream the easiest and safest way of doing so ( without even wearing a condom ) is to buy them off the official website. Don't think you're getting a deal on ebay for an a genuine hoody. The price for the real BBC / Ice Cream hoodies start at 330 USD and you wont get them for cheaper on ebay unless they have been worn... and still they might be replicas.

Nice article, and BBC/Ice Cream is well overpriced. Limited or not, it had no real credibility at launch and was priced higher than BAPE! I should point out, the mantra is no longer part of the clothing anymore! it still appears on the bags and tags, but it seems they've ditched the mantra! It was originally found on every item of Season 0, but is almost nowhere to be seen since the official launch a year ago! Whether this is down to pharrell or nigo's drive for bape to become more mainstream, i'm not sure, but priorities for all involved have changed dramatically since Reebok were dropped as the manufacturer, when they're pricing structure meant hoodies would be just $160! j'aimerai distribué ice cream sur paris je viens de la house et de la video !!!!! |
